Ken Walden Train Illustrations

Ken grew up in Florida during the final days of steam. That sparked his interest in steam locomotives, and all of Ken’s paintings are steam trains except for the EMD F7 diesel. This engine holds significance for Walden because it is the one that eliminated steam from the rail industry. Florida gave Ken exposure to the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. Later, he encountered the Santa Fe, Rock Island, and Burlington Route when he moved to Texas as a young adult.
